Yours Is The Kingdom Of Heaven On Earth -But-

When you are tied to the chasing of pleasure,
You are tied to the experience of pain.
For what is pleasurable is fleeting,
And that which leaves breaks our hearts.

When that pleasure you seek resides within
What you seek without seems undoubtedly demeaning,
For wherever you go, so shall it be,
And you shall call it Joy,
And you, shall enjoy!

When there’s a still darkness from north to south,
And you can see the glint from the reflection of your eyes,
Standing by the window, in the deserted night,
And you can be taken in by this boring delight,
Yours is heaven, and you are experiencing it.

When nothing externally grand could add to the multiverse of your dancing reflection,
nor loss too tragic as to make you decide life is not worth the debris it scatters,
And when with your loss you pick the glass with bloodied hands,
Tell not a soul and carry on Piecing the puzzle of life back together,
As if you had planned this greater loss
And were simply playing a part in a forgotten play,
And you go about your way and make merry anyway,
Yours is the kingdom of heaven on earth.
